About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and proactive Lead Construction Site Supervisor to manage daily operations and ensure the smooth execution of construction projects in Durban . You will be responsible for overseeing on-site activities, coordinating various trades, and maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and project timelines. This is a crucial hands-on role that requires strong leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring project success from the ground up, working within a reputable company known for its commitment to quality and safety.
- Supervise and direct all on-site construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate the work of subcontractors, laborers, and suppliers, ensuring efficient workflow and resource management.
- Implement and enforce strict safety regulations and protocols on the construction site, conducting regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and site records, documenting all significant events and decisions.
- Ensure quality control throughout the construction process, inspecting work for compliance with standards and client expectations.
- Proven experience as a Construction Site Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building materials, and site management techniques.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices in the construction sector.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
