About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations on commercial construction sites in Durban . You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality workmanship. This role requires a hands‑on approach, excellent leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes from foundation to finishing.
As a key member of the project team, you will coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, contributing directly to the successful execution of commercial building projects in the Kwa Zulu-Natal region.
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction workers and subcontractors on site.
- Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and safety standards.
- Manage site logistics, including material delivery, equipment, and personnel movement.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, documenting work performed, issues encountered, and safety observations.
- Resolve on-site issues and conflicts promptly to ensure minimal disruption to the project schedule.
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with managing subcontractors and coordinating trades.
- Valid driver's license and a commitment to working on-site in Durban .
