About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and proactive Senior Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites in and around Durban . This critical on-site role involves ensuring that all construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will be the primary point of contact for site personnel, subcontractors, and project managers, ensuring seamless coordination and problem-solving.
The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of construction processes and safety protocols, contributing to the successful and timely completion of projects.
- Supervise and direct all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and plans.
- Implement and enforce stringent health and safety regulations, conducting regular site safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Manage site personnel, subcontractors, and material delivery, ensuring efficient workflow and resource utilization.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers to resolve site issues and implement design modifications as needed.
- Maintain accurate daily site logs, progress reports, and quality control documentation.
- Ensure the security and good housekeeping of the construction site.
- Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a trade certificate.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a site supervision or foreman role within the construction industry.
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to work on various construction sites.
