About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join their established practice in Durban . You will be responsible for the structural design and analysis of a variety of building projects, from residential complexes to commercial high-rises. This role requires a hands-on approach, working closely with architects, contractors, and project teams on-site and in the office to ensure the successful and safe execution of construction.

- Design and analyze structural systems for new buildings and renovations, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations using relevant design software.

- Collaborate effectively with architects, clients, and construction teams to achieve project goals.
- Perform structural assessments and provide recommendations for existing structures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and relevant engineering principles.
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Technologist.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in structural engineering, specifically within the building sector.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Revit Structure, SAP
2000, or Etabs. - Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
