Structures Resident Engineer N3 Mariannhill Toll Plaza to Key Ridge

Responsibilities

• Contract Administration acting as Resident Engineer for this project;
• Reviewing the construction drawings and managing the processes of dealing with Contractor queries by liaising with the designers through the required communication lines;
• Inspection of the works and test results for quality control;
• Preparing and updating estimates to completion;
• Maintaining records of site administration and communication in terms SMEC’s quality management system and Construction Manual;
• Attending and contributing to taking minutes at technical and site meetings;
• Maintaining monthly progress reports;
• Liaison with clients and contractors;
• Managing resources for site supervision;
• Monitoring of quality of works;
• Monitoring of programme and contract budgets;
• Handling claims;
• Preparation of variation orders;
• Participate in stakeholder engagement
• Closing out projects including compiling completion/closeout reports; and Monitoring of Environmental Management Programs
