Senior Site Engineer - Civil Works

Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Site Engineer to manage and oversee all civil engineering works on a large-scale development project in Durban . You will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong leadership on site, and excellent coordination skills to manage resources, subcontractors, and project timelines effectively.

You will play a crucial role in the successful execution of civil works, contributing directly to the overall project's success in the Kwa Zulu-Natal region.

• Supervise and direct daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to design drawings and specifications.
• Manage site resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize productivity and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure all civil works comply with safety regulations, quality control procedures, and environmental standards.
• Monitor project progress against the schedule, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports, including technical details and resource utilization.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and the client's representatives on site.

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in site engineering, with a strong focus on civil construction projects.
• Proven experience in managing large earthworks, concrete structures, and infrastructure installation.
• Familiarity with contract administration, quality assurance, and health and safety management systems.
• Proficiency in surveying equipment and civil engineering design software.
