About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Architectural Technologist to join their esteemed practice in Durban . This role focuses on translating architectural designs into practical, buildable solutions, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to project specifications. You will play a critical role in the detailed design and documentation phase, working closely with architects and project managers to bring complex structures to life.
This position is ideal for a professional who possesses strong technical acumen, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for seeing projects through from concept to construction, contributing to a team renowned for its high standards and innovative output.
- Develop detailed technical drawings, construction documentation, and specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, standards, and performance requirements.
- Liaise with contractors and consultants during the construction phase to resolve technical queries.
- Utilize BIM software to produce coordinated and accurate models and drawings.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality of construction work.
- Collaborate with the design team to find practical and efficient construction solutions.
- National Diploma or
B.Tech in Architectural Technology or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as an Architectural Technologist.
- Advanced proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit, and AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of building construction methods, materials, and South African building regulations.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent documentation and organizational abilities.
