About the Role

Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Architectural Intern to gain valuable hands-on experience within their busy practice in Durban . This internship is designed to provide exposure to various facets of architectural work, from initial concept development to the preparation of construction documentation. You will work closely with experienced architects and technologists, assisting them in creating designs and deliverables for a range of projects.

This role is ideal for a motivated student seeking to immerse themselves in the professional world of architecture in the unique context of Kwa Zulu-Natal .

• Assist architects and technologists in developing design concepts and preparing presentation materials.
• Support the creation of detailed architectural drawings, plans, and elevations using CAD software.
• Conduct research on building materials, codes, and best practices relevant to projects in Durban .
• Help in the preparation of project documentation and site visit reports.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute fresh perspectives to design discussions.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
• Basic knowledge of architectural principles and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Sketch Up).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards tasks.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration in Durban .
