Senior BIM Architect

Our client seeks an accomplished Senior BIM Architect to join their esteemed practice in Durban . This role is critical for driving the implementation and optimization of Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows across various architectural projects. You will be responsible for developing BIM standards, managing model coordination, and ensuring the efficient use of BIM technology to enhance design quality and project delivery.

• Develop and implement BIM strategies, standards, and protocols for the practice.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings with project teams and consultants to resolve clashes and ensure model integrity.
• Create and manage complex architectural models using Revit and other BIM software.
• Provide technical support and training to architects and technologists on BIM software and workflows.
• Oversee the quality and accuracy of BIM deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure BIM requirements are met and integrated into project execution plans.

• Professional Architect qualification (PrArch) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of architectural experience, with at least 5 years focused specifically on BIM implementation and management.
• Expertise in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, with a strong understanding of BIM Level 2 or 3 concepts.
• Proven ability to develop and enforce BIM standards and workflows.
• Excellent understanding of architectural design principles and construction processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
