Emeris Westville Campus has a vacancy for a Part time Lecturer within the School of Computer Science in the following module for the 2026 Academic year:

• IQTT
  5111 - Introduction to Quantitative Thinking and Techniques

• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
• Assertiveness and dynamism
• Understanding of customer service in education
• Demonstrate an ability to manage work and self proactively
• Masters in IT or Computer Science
• Alternatively, an NQF 9 qualification that includes IT or AI topics

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

• Lecturing experience in Computer Science or AI related topics
• Work experience in an IT field with exposure to applications of AI

• Please note that this is a Part-time role with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:00
• Preference will be given to South African Citizens and Permanent Residents of South Africa in possession of proof of permanent resident status

Key Performance Areas :

• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
• Assertiveness and dynamism
• Understanding of customer service in education
• Demonstrate an ability to manage work and self proactively
• A minimum of a Master s degree in IT or a related field that includes research methodology
• Alternatively, an Honours degree that includes a subject in research methodology and demonstrates exposure to a range of research methods

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

• A minimum of two years lecturing experience in ICT-related topics
• Supervision experience of successful students is advantageous
