Clifton College invites applications for the position of Athlete Performance Specialist, a key strategic role within our Sports Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and suitably qualified professional to lead the design, implementation, and oversight of all athlete strength and conditioning programmes across the various sporting codes in the College. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing athletic performance, reducing injury risk, and supporting the long‑term physical development of our pupils.

We are seeking an inspired, self‑motivated leader with the capacity to inspire boys and coaches through exceptional work ethic, skill, and a passion for youth development. The role will contribute directly to building a culture of excellence, innovation, and high‑performance across all sporting codes.

• Design, implement, and manage age‑appropriate strength and conditioning programmes across all sporting codes.
• Monitor athlete development, performance metrics, and physical readiness.
• Collaborate with coaches, medical staff, and sport administrators to support holistic athlete development.
• Educate pupils on movement quality, injury prevention, recovery, and performance habits.
• Contribute to the development of a high‑performance sporting culture at Clifton College.
• Explore and potentially lead the introduction of Sport Science as an academic subject, aligning theory with practical application.

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Sport Science, Biokinetics, Human Movement Science, or a related field.
• Accredited Strength & Conditioning certification (e.g., ASCA, NSCA, UKSCA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience working with school‑aged athletes (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Alignment with the values and ethos of Clifton College.
