Gateway City College is seeking a qualified Health Lecturer / College Lecturer / Facilitator to teach and support students in the following programmes:

• Medical Practice
• Home-Based Personal Care Worker
• Health Promotion Officer (HPO)

This full-time on-site role involves delivering theoretical and practical training aligned to TVET and QCTO standards. The Lecturer will prepare lesson plans, facilitate classes, conduct assessments and moderation, support student development, and ensure compliance with accreditation and quality assurance requirements.

The successful candidate will also contribute to curriculum alignment, academic planning, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Health Department.

• NQF Level 7 qualification in a health-related field (e.g., Nursing, Public Health, Community Health, Primary Health Care, Environmental Health, or Social Work)
• 1–2 years community or clinical experience
• Strong knowledge of health sciences and community-based care

• Advanced Diploma in TVET Teaching (NQF
  7) or PGCE (Senior Phase/FET)
• Registered Assessor and/or Moderator
• Experience with QCTO programmes
• Certifications in Primary Health Care (PHC), HIV/AIDS Counselling, Home-Based Care, First Aid, or Occupational Health & Safety

• Lecturing and facilitation
• Curriculum development and lesson planning
• Student assessment and moderation
• Academic administration
• Compliance with TVET and QCTO standards
