- Teach English Language Arts to secondary school students, focusing on literature, composition, grammar, and communication skills.
- Develop and deliver innovative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Evaluate student assignments, essays, and exams, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
- Encourage critical analysis of literary works and promote effective written and oral communication.
- Collaborate with the English department to refine curriculum and share pedagogical strategies.
- Organize and facilitate extracurricular activities related to English, such as debate club or creative writing workshops.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, or a related field, plus a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching English Language Arts at the secondary school level.
- Solid understanding of literary analysis, critical theory, and effective writing instruction.
- Exceptional classroom management and student engagement techniques.
- Familiarity with incorporating technology into language arts education.
