Early Childhood Educator

Our client is seeking a nurturing and dynamic Early Childhood Educator to join their vibrant pre-school in Durban . You will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and play-based learning environment that promotes the holistic development of young children. This role requires a deep understanding of child development principles and a genuine passion for fostering curiosity and a love for learning.

You will work closely with a team of educators to implement developmentally appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

• Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities and curriculum that align with early childhood education standards.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
• Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and identifying individual needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, activities, and well-being.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care, maintaining high standards of hygiene and supervision.

• A recognized qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or a related field.
• Proven experience working with young children in a pre-school or daycare setting.
• In-depth knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early learning.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster positive peer interactions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills essential for teamwork in Durban .
