About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and qualified Early Years Educator to join their esteemed educational facility in Durban . This role focuses on providing exceptional education and care for children within the foundation phase (ages 3-6), nurturing their readiness for primary school. You will be responsible for creating an engaging, play-based learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.

The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated team, contributing to a positive and stimulating educational experience for young learners in Kwa Zulu-Natal .

• Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum aligned with early years learning frameworks, incorporating play-based methodologies.
• Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports the diverse needs of all learners.
• Conduct regular assessments of student progress and maintain detailed records, communicating findings to parents.
• Plan and facilitate engaging educational activities, including arts, crafts, music, and outdoor play.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting a collaborative learning community.

• Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or Foundation Phase teaching.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching young children in a formal setting.
• Strong understanding of child development stages and effective pedagogical approaches for early years.
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in curriculum development and assessment techniques for young learners.
