Our client seeks a dynamic and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to lead a classroom in their well-regarded educational institution located in Durban . This role involves crafting and delivering an inspiring curriculum that prepares young learners for primary school, focusing on foundational literacy, numeracy, and social skills. You will be instrumental in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning atmosphere where every child feels encouraged to reach their full potential.
This position is ideal for an educator passionate about making a tangible difference in the early years of a child's education within the vibrant Kwa Zulu-Natal region.
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans for kindergarten students, focusing on key learning areas.
- Utilise diverse teaching methodologies, including play-based learning and structured activities, to enhance engagement.
- Assess student progress through observation, formative assessments, and portfolio development, providing constructive feedback.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, fostering a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents about student performance, school events, and ways to support learning at home.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational program.
- A recognized teaching qualification with a specialization in Foundation Phase or Early Childhood Education.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the kindergarten or Foundation Phase level.
- Strong understanding of the South African National Curriculum and assessment standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of young learners.
