Wind Turbine Technician Supervisor

Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Wind Turbine Technician Supervisor to oversee operations and maintenance teams for their wind farms near Durban . This critical role ensures the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of wind turbine assets. You will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians, managing work schedules, coordinating maintenance activities, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wind energy systems, excellent leadership capabilities, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence in the KZN region.

• Supervise and guide a team of wind turbine technicians , ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Plan and coordinate scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs for wind turbine components.
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults and malfunctions in wind turbine systems using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and ensure timely ordering and stocking to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training to team members to enhance their skills.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately documented in the company's asset management system.

• National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience as a Wind Turbine Technician , with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a technical team in a challenging environment.
• In-depth knowledge of wind turbine technology , control systems, and safety procedures.
• Experience with SCADA systems and diagnostic software.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
