An exciting opportunity has become available for an Electronic Design Engineer to join a leading technology‑driven organisation based in Umhlanga, Durban
. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing advanced electronic systems from circuit board design to firmware and software integration.

This is the ideal role for a qualified engineer who enjoys working across the full product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to implementation, testing, and optimisation.

• 🔹 Design and develop electronic circuit boards for new and existing products
• 🔹 Select and apply suitable electronic components and modules for product design
• 🔹 Develop firmware and software for embedded systems and microprocessor applications
• 🔹 Conduct design reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure product performance and reliability
• 🔹 Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate design concepts into functional prototypes
• 🔹 Support product enhancement and continuous improvement initiatives
• 🔹 (Advantageous) Work with GSM and GPS modules for integrated communication and tracking solutions
• 🔹 (Advantageous) Use 3D modelling and 3D printing for enclosure design and prototyping

• ✅
  BSc Engineering degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
• ✅ Minimum 5 years’ post‑graduate experience in electronic design and development
• ✅ Proven experience in:
  • Circuit board design and layout
  • Component and module selection
  • Microprocessor applications
  • Firmware and software development
• ✅
  Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• ✅
  Experience with GSM/GPS module integration will be an advantage
• ✅
  Exposure to 3D modelling and 3D printing will be beneficial
• ✅
  Excellent attention to detail, technical accuracy, and teamwork skills
• ✅
  Self‑motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively
