Graduate Mechanical Engineer

Barrows is seeking a dedicated Graduate Mechanical Engineer for a full-time, on-site role located in Durban. In this role, you will take part in designing, developing, and refining innovative mechanical systems and components, utilizing advanced Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support research and development initiatives, contribute to machine design projects, and assist with project management tasks to ensure the timely delivery of impactful retail experience solutions.

• Strong foundation and practical skills in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and software
• Experience or knowledge in Research and Development (R&D) processes
• Project Management abilities, including organization and attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within multidisciplinary teams
• A Bsc degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of the retail industry or related experience is a plus
