Section Manager or any other person appointed to supervise him/her from time to time.

This position is responsible for Project Management, Pavement Design and Geometric Design of road projects within the Construction and Pavements Function, and providing assistance to Senior Engineers/Scientists/Other Professionals/Consultants in the successful delivery of multidisciplinary projects.

• Good software tool understanding, works alone with minimum supervision whilst producing tool deliverables
• Organise information and communicate design intent through software tool output (e.g., structure a drawing correctly and communicate design intent through drawing using CAD)
• Understand the principles of the design process and how design is translated into deliverables through the use of software tools
• Understand key project issues and how these influence individual work
• Take ownership and responsibility for own work and complete it by time and cost
• Train technicians and junior staff in relevant software tools
• Supervise and check the work of other team members
• Develop increased design ability and quality
• Draft technical reports of acceptable technical and presentational quality
• Present / represent technical work
• Draft responses to straightforward bids with assistance sought with commercial aspects
• Develop knowledge of commercial aspects of project management
• Identify and follow through on leads associated with additional work prospects on the projects they are involved with
• Regular client contact under direction of more senior manager
• Inspect constructed works for compliance with design and specifications
• Undertake monitoring and propose remedial actions
• Understand and implement local functional business technologies and markets
• Direct and manage project development from beginning to end
• Develop project scope and deliverables that support client business goals in collaboration with all stakeholders
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents

• Autodesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads software proficiency is required
• BSc/ BTech degree from accredited university/college
• Professional registration (Pr Eng/Pr Tech)
• Clear understanding of local functional business technologies and markets
