Reservoir Engineer

A leading entity in the Oil & Gas sector is looking for an insightful Reservoir Engineer to join their team in Durban . This position focuses on analyzing and modeling subsurface reservoirs to optimize hydrocarbon production and maximize asset value. You will be responsible for evaluating reservoir potential, developing production strategies, and managing reserves. The successful candidate will possess a strong analytical aptitude and a comprehensive understanding of reservoir engineering principles and tools, playing a vital role in shaping the company's exploration and production strategies.

• Perform reservoir characterization using geological and engineering data.
• Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models to predict future performance.
• Conduct decline curve analysis and volumetric estimations.
• Recommend development strategies, including infill drilling, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), and workover programs.
• Estimate and forecast oil and gas reserves according to industry standards.
• Collaborate with geologists and geophysicists to integrate reservoir models with subsurface interpretations.

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or a related scientific discipline.
• At least 6 years of experience in reservoir engineering in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, Roxar RMS).
• Strong knowledge of petroleum systems , fluid flow, and rock properties.
• Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
