Junior Civil Engineer - Structures

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Junior Civil Engineer with a focus on structural design to join their growing team in Durban . You will support senior engineers in the design, analysis, and detailing of various structural elements for buildings and infrastructure projects. • Assist in the structural analysis and design of building frameworks, bridges, and other infrastructure using specialized software.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical problem-solving discussions.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other consultants to coordinate structural aspects of projects.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records for all assigned tasks in Durban .

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a strong academic record in structural mechanics and design.
• 0-3 years of experience in structural engineering, ideally with exposure to building or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP
  2000, ETABS, Prokon).
• Understanding of relevant structural codes and standards applicable in South Africa.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to learning.
