Graduate Civil Engineer - Structural Focus

Our client is excited to offer an opportunity for a driven Graduate Civil Engineer to join their structural engineering department in Durban. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in the design and analysis of various structures, including buildings, bridges, and industrial facilities. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers, gaining practical knowledge and contributing to real-world projects.

This position is based in our Durban office, offering a structured learning environment and exposure to the full project lifecycle in the vibrant Kwa Zulu-Natal construction sector.

• Assist senior engineers in the structural design and analysis of building components and systems.
• Develop structural drawings and details using CAD software under supervision.
• Participate in site visits to observe construction and gather relevant data.
• Perform calculations and verifications for structural elements according to design codes.
• Contribute to technical reports and documentation for projects.
• Learn and apply engineering software for structural modeling and simulation.

• Recently completed Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a strong interest in structural engineering.
• Familiarity with structural analysis principles and design codes.
• Basic proficiency in CAD software.
• Eagerness to learn and develop practical engineering skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa.
