Mechanical Project Engineer - Renewable Energy Systems

This role is critical for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects involving renewable energy systems, such as solar thermal, wind power components, or energy storage solutions. You will be responsible for all mechanical aspects of projects, ensuring efficient design, seamless integration, and optimal performance.

• Manage the mechanical engineering aspects of renewable energy projects from inception to completion.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Design, specify, and procure mechanical components and systems, including structural elements, rotating machinery, and fluid systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for new renewable energy installations.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant engineering codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical systems.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any mechanical issues that arise.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project execution strategies and design standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a significant portion dedicated to project management.
• Proven experience in the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, energy storage) is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in CAD software for design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to energy infrastructure.
• Excellent project management skills, including risk assessment and resource allocation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
