Senior Structural Engineer

• Lead the structural design and analysis of various building types, including high-rise structures, commercial complexes, and residential developments.
• Perform detailed structural calculations using advanced engineering software.
• Develop structural drawings, specifications, and reports in accordance with industry standards.
• Manage project deliverables, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to a team of structural engineers and technicians.
• Conduct site inspections and provide construction support to resolve structural issues.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and other consultants.
• Stay abreast of new materials, technologies, and design codes in structural engineering.

• BEng or BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (PrEng) is essential.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant post-graduate experience in structural engineering design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP
  2000, or Prokon.
• Experience with relevant South African building codes and standards.
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects and leading design teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and client liaison skills, particularly within the Durban context.
