Senior Transportation Engineer - Road Network Design

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of road and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Develop traffic management plans, intersection designs, and highway geometric designs.
• Conduct traffic impact assessments and feasibility studies.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Collaborate closely with clients, government authorities, and other consultants.
• Manage project teams, including junior engineers and technicians, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Oversee the construction supervision and quality assurance of transportation projects.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant South African road design standards and regulations.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in transportation engineering, specifically in road design and planning.
• Proficiency in transportation planning and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Vissim, and SIDRA.
• Strong understanding of geometric design principles, traffic modeling, and traffic control systems.
• Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team in a professional office environment in Durban .
