Event Manager - Major Sporting Events

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Event Manager to oversee the planning and execution of major sporting events in Durban. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless event delivery, from initial concept and budgeting to on-site management and post-event analysis. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including sponsors, vendors, athletes, and local authorities, to create memorable and successful sporting experiences.

• Manage all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, logistics, budgeting, and scheduling for major sporting events.

• Develop and execute event marketing and promotional strategies to maximize attendance and engagement.
• Oversee on-site event execution, troubleshooting any issues that arise in real-time.
• Manage post-event evaluation, including financial reconciliation and performance reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, with specific experience in large-scale sporting events.
