Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst
Our retail client is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to support the finance function across multiple retail entities. This role is critical to ensuring accurate month-end reporting, strong financial controls, meaningful commercial analysis, and efficient day-to-day finance operations within a fast-paced retail environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the wider finance team, manage direct reports, and contribute to continuous process improvement and insightful reporting.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform gross profit checks and investigate variances
Prepare and maintain balance sheet and creditor reconciliations
Review daily, monthly, and rental payments
Process cash flow, confidential, and forex payments
Assist with banking and credit card queries
Manage finance-related portals and banking platforms
Produce monthly reports and operational analysis (stores, DC, transport, costs, and performance)
Review time and attendance (clock-in) reports
Support process improvements within the finance function
Manage and support junior finance team members
Assist with ad hoc projects and financial analysis
Requirements:
- B. Com Accounting Degree
- 5 years of experience in a similar role
