Treasurer and Banker – SSTB

Main job function

Our reputable client is currently recruiting for Treasurer & Banker to join our finance team.

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years work experience
• Relevant experience in treasury, banking or financial management.
• Strong understanding of cash-flow management and banking processes.
• Experience managing multiple bank accounts
• Strong Excel skills.
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
• Experience in processing journals, cashbook, performing bank reconciliations
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Deadline Driven
• Must work well independently and within a team
• Computer Literate

• Recording and capturing transactions from bank statements into the accounting system
• Matching and allocations of accounts receivables receipts and accounts payables payment
• Cashbook processing, management and reconciliations
• Preparation of 3-month cashflow forecast and daily tracking
• Manage cash transfers between bank accounts
• Identify potential cash shortfalls or surpluses and recommend appropriate actions.
• Optimize the use of available cash while maintaining appropriate liquidity reserves.
• Monitor interest earned in surplus cash and interest paid on borrowings.
• Maintain strong working relationships with commercial banks, lenders, and other financial institutions
• Act as the primary finance contact for banking matters.
• Manage bank account openings, closures, mandates, signatories, and administration.
• Oversee the company’s payment processes and banking platforms.
• Ensure payments are made accurately, on time, and in accordance with approved authorization procedures.
• Review payment batches and supporting documentation before release.
• Monitor electronic banking access, user permissions, and security controls.
