Intermediate GIS Developer

Job Description

We have an amazing opportunity for an Intermediate GIS Developer based in Durban!

We require a candidate with:

• At least two years’ experience in C# development

• Experience in Web Development with JavaScript and/or Angular frameworks

• A good understanding of HTML and CSS for UI design

• Database design and development: MS SQL Server/Oracle/Postgres

• Ability to accurately estimate effort for deliverables

• A qualification in Computer Science/Geo-informatics from a recognized institution or a comparative qualification e.g. MSCD / MSPD

• An understanding of agile tools and techniques

• Azure Dev Ops

• Experience across the full project development lifecycle

• Python

• Development experience in a Spatial GIS environment

• Experience in the use of the Esri ArcGIS Enterprise product range e.g.:

- ArcGIS Desktop

• ArcGIS Server (basic administration and managing map services)

• Geodatabase design and implementation

• Exposure to mobile app development
