Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Communication Technology (NQF level
    7)
  • Master’s degree in Information Communication Technology (NQF level
    9) will be an added advantage
  • 8–10 years of ICT experience with at least 5–7 years at a middle management level

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization’s information and communication technology (ICT) portfolio
  • Accountable for development, implementation, and monitoring of the ICT strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and long‑term sustainability
  • Provide oversight of ICT operations, infrastructure, systems development, and cybersecurity, ensuring the digital environment is secure, reliable and efficient
  • Responsible for ICT policy formulation, disaster recovery planning, risk management, and compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information (POPI) Act
  • Manage stakeholder relationships
  • Oversee technological infrastructure (network and computer systems) to ensure optimal performance
  • Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain a competitive advantage
  • Ensure that ICT initiatives directly support and enable organizational priorities
  • Analyse costs and the value of IT to advise the exco, board committees and management and suggest actions
Duties
  • Managing delivery of ICT services, infrastructure and systems to support core operations
  • Ensuring availability, security and performance of all digital platforms, networks and enterprise systems
  • Overseeing implementation and monitoring of ICT policies, procedures and operational standards
  • Leading the ICT operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and service excellence
  • Monitoring and reporting on key operational metrics and service level agreements
  • Supporting business continuity planning and disaster recovery readiness across all platforms
