Senior Project Manager

What you’ll be doing Lead complex, high-impact programmes

• Deliver large, multi-team, multi-stream projects from initiation through to closure
• Drive clarity across ambiguity, ensuring work progresses with momentum and purpose
• Own timelines, dependencies, and outcomes across multiple work streams

• Lead projects that impact engineering ways of working and internal platforms
• Deliver initiatives such as:
  • Source code tool migrations
  • Enterprise tooling implementations (e.g. Jira, Monday, Anaplan)
  • Process and workflow optimisation across teams

• Translate technical challenges into clear, actionable plans and narratives
• Work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders
• Enable informed decision-making across all levels

• Apply project management best practices intelligently — not dogmatically
• Adapt delivery approaches to suit the context, teams, and outcomes required
• Balance governance with agility to keep teams effective, not constrained

• Treat every user as a stakeholder
• Drive adoption through:
  • Strong communication
  • Change impact assessments
  • Structured rollout and enablement approaches
• Navigate resistance and build alignment across diverse teams

• Mentor and develop other project practitioners
• Improve governance frameworks, templates, and delivery standards
• Contribute to the evolution of project management maturity across the organisation.

• 6–8+ years in project/programme management within technology environments
• Proven experience delivering complex, multi-team initiatives independently
• Background in a software development or engineering-led organisation
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise tool implementations or migrations (e.g. Jira, SCM tools, planning platforms)

• Strong understanding of:
  • Software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Agile and hybrid delivery models
  • Governance, risk, and dependency management

• Ability to influence without authority across senior stakeholders
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Strong change management capability — you know how to bring people with you
• Commercial awareness and delivery accountability
• Pragmatic mindset — you focus on outcomes over process purity

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification preferred
