Job Overview
IT Business Analyst (Inbound) within Group Services operating unit. Based in Westville, report to Applications Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver effective, sustainable solutions for RCL FOODS IT Systems/Applications.
- Support and develop capabilities within Sourcing, Inbound & Manufacturing areas.
- Ensure operational effectiveness and excellence of business units and functional areas.
- Manage full range of activities across Sourcing & Procurement, Materials management, Inventory management, Production Planning, and Extended Warehouse Management.
- Work with business to identify opportunities for improvement in operations, processes and systems.
- Engage with stakeholders during projects to establish, understand and document detailed business requirements.
- Assist in design or modification of business or IT systems, determining scope and drafting functional & technical specifications.
- Document functional specifications and verify technical design with developers.
- Ensure all testing is conducted and documented per agreed standards.
- Manage help‑desk activities, track change requests and ensure timely resolution.
- Document testing results, obtain release sign‑off, maintain operational quality through bug fixes and enhancements.
- Review external developments and trends, evaluate new technologies (AI, Process Automation) or best‑of‑breed solutions.
- Identify and mitigate process or system‑based gaps, recommend compensating controls.
- Support Applications Manager in identifying application solutions to address key business requirements.
- Report system non‑compliance and identify business risk to the Applications Manager.
- Plan and coordinate project delivery of targets/projects; cross‑skill team members where appropriate.
- Engage with key stakeholders to develop and grow partnerships.
- Commit to ongoing learning and skill development to ensure sustainable growth.
- Degree in Information Technology.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience within relevant business function or information technology environment.
- ERP Applications experience specifically in Materials Management, Inventory Management and Production.
- Experience leading projects in the above areas.
- Valid Code E drivers’ license.
- Relevant systems exposure or certification for ERP system.
- Experience with best‑of‑breed systems is advantageous.
