• Develop and implement AI ethics policies aligned with local and international regulations.
• Conduct audits of AI systems to identify ethical risks and compliance gaps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ethical considerations into AI development cycles.
• Provide training and guidance on AI ethics to stakeholders, including developers and executives.
• Monitor emerging AI trends and update compliance strategies accordingly.

• Expertise in AI ethics frameworks, data privacy laws, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating AI system impacts on society.
• Excellent communication abilities to articulate complex ethical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and governance tools.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement and policy development.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Law, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) in AI ethics or technology governance are preferred.

3–5 years in AI ethics, compliance, or technology governance roles. Experience in South African regulatory environments is advantageous.
