About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Smart Contract Developer to join their dynamic team in Durban . You will be at the forefront of developing secure, efficient, and robust smart contracts for a variety of decentralized applications. This role is crucial for building the core logic of our client's blockchain-based products and services, ensuring their integrity and functionality. You will work closely with the engineering and product teams to bring innovative blockchain solutions to life, contributing significantly to the technological landscape of Kwa Zulu-Natal .
Key Responsibilities- Write, test, and deploy secure and gas-efficient smart contracts on various blockchain networks (e.g., Ethereum, BSC).
- Develop decentralized applications (dApps) and integrate smart contracts with front-end interfaces.
- Conduct thorough security audits and vulnerability assessments of smart contracts.
- Optimize smart contract performance and manage deployment processes.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to define smart contract functionalities and specifications.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in smart contract languages and blockchain security best practices.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in developing smart contracts, particularly using Solidity.
- Solid understanding of Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and blockchain principles.
- Experience with smart contract development frameworks like Truffle, Hardhat, or Foundry.
- Familiarity with token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, etc.) and DeFi protocols.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or a similar language for dApp development is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
