Helpdesk Support Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a technically adept Helpdesk Support Analyst to join their dedicated IT support team based in Durban. You will be responsible for providing first-line technical support to internal staff, resolving hardware, software, and network issues efficiently. This role is critical for ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining employee productivity. You will work closely with senior IT personnel to troubleshoot complex problems and implement effective solutions.

• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
• Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, and electronically.
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, escalating when necessary.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and network printers.
• Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assets.
• Document all resolved incidents and service requests in the IT helpdesk system.

• Proven experience as a Helpdesk Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and basic networking.
• Experience with IT support ticketing systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• CompTIA A+ or similar certification is highly desirable.
