Junior PHP​/WordPress Developer

Our client is looking for a motivated Junior PHP / Word Press Developer to join their growing development team in Kloof. • Maintain and update existing Word Press websites.
• Perform Word Press core, theme and plugin updates.
• Troubleshoot website issues and resolve bugs.
• Assist with the development of new Word Press websites.
• Develop and customise Word Press functionality using PHP.
• Implement website designs using Word Press themes and page builders.
• Test websites across multiple browsers and devices.
• Assist with website backups, security checks and technical support.
• Escalate complex technical issues where required.

• 1–2 years' experience working with Word Press websites.
• Basic to intermediate PHP development skills.
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with MySQL databases.
• Experience working with Word Press themes and plugins.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience with Elementor, Divi or similar page builders.
• Woo Commerce experience.
• Knowledge of cPanel or Plesk hosting environments.
• Git version control experience.
• Exposure to SEO best practices.
• Previous experience in a digital agency environment.
