Senior UX​/UI Designer - Interactive

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and user-focused Senior UX/UI Designer to craft intuitive and engaging interactive experiences for their digital platforms in Durban. This role is central to ensuring our digital products are not only visually appealing but also exceptionally user-friendly, contributing significantly to the Arts & Entertainment sector's digital transformation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex user needs and business requirements into seamless and delightful user journeys, championing user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Conduct user research, persona development, and journey mapping to understand user needs and behaviors.
• Design intuitive wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to implement high-fidelity user interfaces.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback and data analysis.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in UX/UI design and interactive technology within the Arts & Entertainment industry.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing complex digital products.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions effectively in the Durban context.
