Lead UX​/UI Designer - Interactive Media

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Lead UX/UI Designer to spearhead their interactive media projects within the Arts & Entertainment division, based in Durban . This senior role involves defining the user experience and interface design for digital products, ensuring they are intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing. You will lead a team of designers, translating complex user needs into seamless digital journeys.

• Lead the UX/UI design process for new and existing digital products, from user research and wire framing to high-fidelity prototyping and final interface design.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to articulate design concepts and user flows effectively.
• Create intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically compelling user interfaces that align with brand identity and user needs.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure designs are technically feasible and meet business objectives.
• Mentor and guide junior UX/UI designers, fostering a culture of design excellence and innovation.

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in UX/UI design , with a proven track record in the interactive media or entertainment industry.
• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in user-centered design, interaction design, and visual design for digital products.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
• Deep understanding of user interface design principles , accessibility standards, and responsive design.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
