Our client is looking for a vigilant and analytical Cryptocurrency Security Analyst to join their rapidly expanding team in Durban . In this critical role, you will be responsible for safeguarding the company's digital assets and ensuring the security of our blockchain infrastructure against threats. You will perform in-depth security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and develop proactive measures to protect against fraud and cyberattacks.

- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of blockchain networks, smart contracts, and cryptocurrency wallets.
- Monitor blockchain transactions for suspicious activity, fraud, and potential security breaches.
- Develop and implement security protocols and best practices for cryptocurrency management.
- Investigate security incidents, analyze root causes, and provide remediation recommendations.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and vulnerabilities within the crypto and blockchain ecosystem.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enhance the overall security posture of our digital assets.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong emphasis on blockchain and cryptocurrency security .
- Proficiency in analyzing blockchain transactions and identifying anomalies.
- Knowledge of common security exploits and mitigation techniques in the crypto space.
- Experience with security tools and frameworks relevant to blockchain environments.
