We have an amazing opportunity for a Junior Microsoft 365 Automation Specialist to join our team in Durban. Do you think you have what it takes to be our newest Purple Star?

The Junior Microsoft 365 Automation Specialist supports the improvement of operational efficiency by assisting with the automation of business processes, reducing manual tasks, and improving data and document workflows using Microsoft 365 and Power Platform tools.

The role is suited to someone with a good foundation in Microsoft 365 technologies who is looking to develop their skills in automation, low-code development, and process improvement.

• Basic knowledge or practical exposure to Microsoft Power Automate
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and reporting
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, and Outlook

• Exposure to VBA/macros or an interest in learning Excel automation
• Basic knowledge of scripting or programming concepts
• Exposure to Power BI or other data visualisation tools
• Understanding of process improvement or workflow automation concepts
• Familiarity with APIs and system integrations
• Microsoft Power Platform certifications
• Relevant qualification in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience

• Assist with the development and maintenance of automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
• Develop and maintain Excel-based solutions, including formulas, reports, and basic VBA/macros where required.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of dynamic Word templates using content controls.
• Build and maintain basic low/no-code applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
• Support integrations between Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, Outlook, and Excel.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to reduce manual work and improve existing business processes.
• Work with team members and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
• Test automated workflows, applications, and document solutions before deployment.
• Provide first-line support and troubleshooting for existing automation solutions.
• Maintain documentation for workflows, applications, and automated processes.
• Continuously develop knowledge of Microsoft 365, Power Platform, automation, and related technologies.
