Our client is actively seeking a skilled Dev Ops Engineer with a specialization in Automation to join their dedicated IT operations team in Durban. This role is critical for enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of their software development and deployment pipelines. You will be responsible for implementing and managing infrastructure as code, automating deployment processes, and fostering a culture of collaboration between development and operations teams.
We are looking for a proactive individual who is passionate about streamlining workflows and ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality software solutions, contributing to operational excellence within a busy tech environment.
- Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Automate system provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for improvement and stability.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and efficient release cycles.
- Manage and scale cloud infrastructure resources, ensuring security and cost-effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a Dev Ops or Systems Administration role, with a focus on automation.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of configuration management and infrastructure as code principles.
