• Identify and analyze vulnerabilities, potential exploits, and security risks in blockchain code and infrastructure.
• Develop and implement security best practices, guidelines, and standards for blockchain development.
• Conduct penetration testing and security assessments of blockchain-based systems.
• Respond to security incidents, providing expert analysis and remediation guidance.
• Collaborate with development teams to fix identified vulnerabilities and enhance code security.
• Stay current with emerging blockchain security threats, attack vectors, and defense mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain security tooling and automated analysis frameworks.
• Contribute to the creation of security reports and present findings to clients and internal stakeholders in Durban.
• Educate teams on secure coding practices for blockchain environments.

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a significant focus on blockchain security.
• Proven experience in auditing smart contracts (Solidity, Vyper, etc.) and identifying common vulnerabilities (reentrancy, integer overflow, etc.).
• Strong understanding of blockchain architecture, cryptography, and consensus mechanisms.
• Proficiency with security analysis tools and techniques, including static and dynamic analysis.
• Experience with network security, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.
• Familiarity with major blockchain platforms like Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, etc.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills, particularly when explaining complex security issues within the Durban context.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH) are a plus.
