Junior Buyer – Automotive Manufacturing - Durban
An established Automotive Component Manufacturing Company is looking for a Junior Buyer with automotive industry experience to join their Supply Chain team.
Reporting to:
Supply Chain Manager
- Degree / Diploma in Supply Chain, Purchasing or Logistics
- 5+ years’ experience in purchasing / logistics within manufacturing
- Automotive experience essential
- Supplier negotiation & contract management experience
- Knowledge of Incoterms & basic accounting
- Strong Excel & ERP skills (MRP, JIT, JIS, Kanban)
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Advanced Excel Skills
Key Responsibilities- Procurement of raw materials & services
- Supplier performance monitoring & cost control
- Stock value, freight costs & non-conformance management
- Vendor loading, price changes & invoice queries
- Support new project quotations & sourcing strategies
- Valid driver’s licence & own transport
- South African citizens only
