Buyer, Supply Chain​/Logistics

About the Role

Freedom Stationery is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our Procurement team. The successful candidate will assist with sourcing, purchasing, and supplier coordination to ensure materials, goods, and services are procured cost-effectively, on time, and in line with quality and compliance standards. This role is ideal for a developing procurement professional looking to gain hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Support

• Assist with sourcing materials, goods, and services in line with operational requirements.
• Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and timeously.
• Maintain procurement records, pricing schedules, and supplier correspondence.

Supplier Coordination

• Support supplier identification, evaluation, and onboarding processes.
• Assist with managing supplier relationships and follow-ups on deliveries.
• Help compare quotations and support price negotiations.

Inventory & Cost Control

• Work closely with inventory control and stores to align purchasing with demand forecasts.
• Monitor order progress and report potential supply risks.
• Assist with basic spend analysis and cost-saving initiatives.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain orderly, audit-ready procurement documentation.
• Support internal and external audit requirements where needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Liaise with production, logistics, finance, and warehouse teams.
• Assist in resolving procurement-related queries and supply issues.
