About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Director of Supply Chain Operations to lead their end-to-end supply chain functions, based in Durban . This strategic role is responsible for optimizing inventory management, logistics, procurement, and distribution to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will play a key role in developing and executing supply chain strategies that support business growth and enhance customer satisfaction.

- Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Lead and manage the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs, improve lead times, and enhance service levels.
- Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to secure favorable terms and maintain strong relationships.
- Implement and manage supply chain technologies and systems to improve visibility and efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on supply chain performance to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant trade regulations and ethical sourcing practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing global supply chains, including international logistics and procurement.
- Strong understanding of inventory optimization techniques and demand planning.
- Expertise in supply chain software and ERP systems.
