• Source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials, components, and supplies according to quality and cost standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
• Manage inventory levels, working closely with production and logistics teams to meet demand forecasts.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with contractual terms.
• Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews to ensure quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams on new product introductions and material specifications.
• Resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and invoicing with suppliers.

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, specifically within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in sourcing raw materials and components.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and inventory management.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, commuting to the Durban office as required.
