The FMCG Maintenance Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Durban, responsible for overseeing maintenance activities across the converting plant and related production equipment.

This role involves but not limited to:

• lanning and executing preventive maintenance schedules
• eading the maintenance team, and coordinating maintenance and repair work to minimize downtime.

Monitors equipment performance, diagnoses technical issues, and ensures that maintenance standards and safety procedures are consistently followed.

Day-to-day tasks include supervising maintenance staff, managing maintenance records, liaising with production and operations teams, and working with external service providers and suppliers when needed.

The role also includes driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing maintenance costs, and supporting compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

• Candidates should possess strong Maintenance Management and Supervisory Skills to lead a maintenance team and coordinate activities effectively.
• Candidates should possess Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills for diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and ensuring reliable operation of production machinery.
• Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance skills to plan, implement, and monitor maintenance schedules that reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of FMCG manufacturing environments, preferably in tissue converting or related industries.
• Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Candidates should possess relevant technical qualifications, such as a diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or an equivalent trade qualification.
• Candidates should possess experience in using maintenance management systems, basic computer literacy, and effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
