We are currently seeking a Plant Cleaner to join our team in Durban.

As a Plant Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our water treatment and waste management facilities. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

• Clean and maintain all areas of the plant, including equipment, floors, walls, and other surfaces
• Operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, scrubbers, and vacuums
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment
• Dispose of waste and debris in designated areas and maintain cleanliness of waste storage areas
• Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to the Plant Manager
• Keep track of cleaning supplies and notify the Plant Manager when supplies need to be replenished
• Assist with other tasks and projects as needed by the Plant Manager or other team members

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Durban, South Africa. The Plant Cleaner will work in an industrial plant environment and may be exposed to noise, fumes, and chemicals. Protective gear and training will be provided to ensure safety.
