About the Role

Our client seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cleaning Technician for their operations in Durban, with a hybrid work model that balances on-site supervision with remote planning. You will be responsible for executing advanced cleaning procedures, training junior staff, and contributing to the development of cleaning strategies. This role demands a deep understanding of specialized cleaning techniques, adherence to strict safety protocols, and the ability to provide both hands‑on service and remote support for operational efficiency.

• Perform specialized cleaning tasks, including deep cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation of complex areas.
• Train and mentor junior cleaning technicians, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Conduct on-site quality checks and inspections, providing immediate feedback and corrective actions.
• Assist in developing and refining cleaning procedures and protocols, leveraging insights from both field and remote observations.
• Manage and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition and properly stored.
• Prepare detailed reports on cleaning activities, supply usage, and site conditions for management.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a cleaning technician, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of industrial cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety data sheets (SDS).
• Proficiency in various cleaning methods, including biohazard cleanup and specialized sanitization.
• Experience with hybrid work models, demonstrating ability to manage tasks both on-site and remotely.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Relevant certifications in industrial cleaning or hygiene are highly preferred.
